Download Local Government Financial Data

The Department of Internal Affairs is working to improve the availability of consistent local authority information for quality decision-making. For this purpose, this resource has been created for users to download raw local government financial information provided by New Zealand's regional and territorial authorities.

Currently, users may download ten years worth of projected local authority financial data (2009-2019), by clicking on either of the following:

• Local Authority LTCCP Financial Analysis (DIA Analysis of Local Authority Long-Term Council Community Plans - LTCCPs)


• Local Authority LTCCP Survey Financial Data Tables (Raw High Level & By Activity Data, As Reported By 38 Councils)
• To see the structure of the data available in the LTCCP Survey Financial Tables: Data Map (50kb, pdf).
