Council Purpose
The purpose of the Manukau City Council is to enable democratic local decisionmaking to promote the social, economic, environmental and cultural well-being of Manukau City, both now and for the future. Tomorrow’s Manukau / Manukau Apopo, a long-term vision and strategy for the City, identifies the following community outcomes:- Educated and Knowledgeable People
